UNKNOWN (to me) Gay Porn Models "Antoine,Stephen and Steve"

From ADVOCATE MEN magazine (August 1987) Photos by Le Nu

Antoine (here) was earlier featured in PLAYGIRL magazine as Antoin (no e) Dijon. He was better known to gay men as Actor/Model FRANCOIS PAPILLON

"Le Nu" is photographer Ulysses Windon-St. John.

He was born and raised in New Orleans, and his higher education was in Europe.  On leaving school in England, he became a protege of French designer Jacques Bredat (later he would become Bredat's partner).  The design firm (LeCourt and Bredat Interiors) subsequently relocated to Southern California around 1980, and Le Nu went with them.

Photography was a hobby for him.  Le Nu designed "GQ-Live" for the magazine, but soon was fired for producing a video segment with male images which were not explicit or hardcore, but which were deemed too erotic for that mainstream publication.

He was hired by Male Image, a legit male modeling agency in Los Angeles, to help develop their models' portfolios.  Le Nu has often said that a major influence in his photographic style was Chicago photographer Victor Skrebneski.  (If you are familiar with Skrebneski's photo posters for the early days of the Chicago Film Festival, you may have some idea.)

Le Nu expanded his model photography sideline, by offering an "exchange" with the models:  he would furnish portfolio photographs without charge, if the model would do some erotic studies and give Le Nu the rights.

His erotic photography was not hardcore--there might be a boner, but no sexual action was photographed (at least not in any photos made publicly available).  Le Nu submitted photos and features to Playgirl, Advocate Men and similar publications, as well as calendars and greeting cards.  In interviews, his discussion of Playgirl indicates he had a close and frequent connection.  He says that his style has been referred to as "Playgirl Meets Gentlemen's Quarterly."

When Le Nu's partner Jacques Bredat died, Le Nu was hired by Caesar's Palace for design work, and he relocated to Las Vegas, where he lives today.

During the last two decades, Le Nu had an online presence:  Club Le Nu, and hunkfest.com, but neither is currently active online. NOTE:This bio is from a fellow yahoo groups member from an email I had saved dated June 20,2014
