Started acting at the age of eight.
Discovered by Champion in the late 60s. Did a softcore magazine for them with Douglas Campbell.
Moved to New York in 1967. MacBride did some work in conventional performance including Sweet Charity on Broadway and toured with several George M. productions. Other roles were in Fiddler on the Roof, Gypsy, West Side Store, Enter Laughing, The Happy Time and Anniversary Waltz.
He enjoyed his porn work, did some hustling but didn't like stripping because it didn't pay well and "wasn't a big fan" of watching porn. His "9 to 5" job was a successful career in market research.
MacBride had let it be known that he was interested in doing some porn work and Tom deSimone heard about that and called him up. When describing the films he liked, he singled out the scripts as the deciding factors.
When filming Red Ball Express, Jayson invited his boy friend "Mikey" to be in the film and bottom for Jayson. "Mikey" was too shy for that but he was the fluffer for the entire cast and when the closing orgy was being filmed, he went wild and "worked that room!"
He quit doing porn for a period of time but started up again when he found producers had reused his scenes, presumably in compilations.
In about 1974 he lost all his possessions, music, costumes, pictures, memorabilia and a host of plants in a home fire.
