Johnny Travis is the knight who enters the chambers of the bewitched prince who has been asleep many centuries. His affectionate concern causes the prince (Bill Voldemar) to awaken from his deep slumber, but when John tries to take him out of the castle he turns into a beast, and it is only when John shows he can love him in spite of his ugliness that he once again turns into a handsome prince this time free to go where he will.
